Weekend Learning to go… Sept. 14-16, 2012

We had an amazing weekend in Victoria and can’t even begin to tell you how much we love that city! It is a fantastic family vacation and we did about 6 months of PLOs in one weekend!

First of all we met some pretty creepy crawly bugs at the Bug Zoo and listened to an amazing tour guide tell us all about each species behaviours and habitats.

Next we had a very compressed… lesson in history at Miniature World:

On to the Royal BC Museum for some learning about Paleontology and even got a chance to observe a paleontologist at work. After listening to Jonathan Park this exhibit helped fill in the blanks for E about some of the vocabulary and ideas discussed in the stories.

While there we had some fantastic views of the Provincial Parliament Buildings:

Then on to some close-up encounters with marine life feeding the seals at Fisherman’s Wharf:

We plan to revisit our pictures from these weekend as we cover various points in our curriculum that apply throughout the year!
